Partnering with the Office for Off-Campus Student Services
CCW has partnered with the Office for Off-Campus Student Services on
several occasions during the Fall 2003 semester, taking part in the
Taste of Wescott Street (hosted a table to provide information on safety
and CCW), Walk Your Child to School Day (walked with children from a
local city school), and Pedestrian Safety Week (stood on various street
corners adjacent to campus and handed out fortune cookies with pedestrian
safety messages inside). They also worked with this office before the
Fall 2003 winter break to walk the east neighborhoods near campus and
hand out safety information to students to assist them in preparing
for the winter break period.
This has been a positive partnership, as the Office for Off-Campus
Student Services funds all the projects we do with them. CCW plans to
continue to engage in projects with this office in the fall.
In the fall of 2003, The Office for Off-Campus Student Services donated
an office to CCW, to include a computer (also a couch and big screen
TV). This is a great example of results that can occur from building
partnerships with departments across campus.
