Syracuse University CCW
Delegation to the National Youth Crime Prevention Conference
CCW members, along with advisors from DPS, attended the National Youth Crime Prevention Conference in Arlington, Virginia from February 14–17, 2004. Syracuse University CCW members facilitated a workshop at the conference entitled "Student Led Prevention Projects." Participants at the workshop engaged in a group activity to work together on problems/issues that students face when they are trying to put together a student led group/program, along with possible solutions to those problems. While at the conference, Syracuse University CCW members received the College Crime Watch Program of the Year award for 2003/2004, making this the second year in a row for them to receive this award for their involvement and commitment to the CCW vision. Student Affairs has provided the funding for CCW members to attend YCWA conferences for two years.
