Hall, Chief of Public Safety at Syracuse University, is using College
Crime Watch to unite powerful student groups to address the crime prevention
needs on and off of campus. This task force includes students in multicultural
affairs clubs, resident advisors, students running escort services,
students employed by the University, student government representatives,
fraternity and sorority members, and graduate students. One of the Syracuse
components, hate crime prevention, needs this diverse core group to
influence campus-wide attention towards solutions.

Nesbeitt is implementing College Crime Watch as a student club. Ms.
Nesbeitt is a Youth Crime Watch trainer and a student at the University
of Washington who hopes, with her fellow students and community contacts,
to serve her campus by coordinating visibility campaigns and learning
opportunities in self-defense, drugs and alcohol education, crime reporting
and lifesaving skills.

Safety, Eugene Friedman, is linking College Crime Watch components to
many of his innovative crime prevention efforts. One of these unique
programs is S.M.A.R.T. (SCAD Men Against Rape Together), whose purpose
is to raise and focus awareness among men on campus about the definition,
impact, and consequences of sexual assault and how to prevent it.
